Year 4 Oral Presentations Unit
Take students from first idea to polished delivery with a practical week of explicit teaching, games, printable practice, rehearsal and assessment. This Year 4 Oral Presentations Unit develops audience and purpose awareness, logical structure, the use of facts and evidence, complex sentences, clarifying visuals and effective delivery choices.
Students use the Presentation Blueprint to shape a message, practise pace, volume and expression through Voice Voyage, respond to audience missions in the Spotlight Speaker Challenge, mark up a script for delivery and improve through specific peer feedback. The culminating School Improvement Pitch asks each student to apply the complete presentation cycle in an authentic persuasive context.
The editable 19-slide presentation supports direct instruction and modelling. The editable 22-slide quiz provides 10 paired question-and-answer checks. The 31-page unit plan includes 30 classroom-ready resource pages, five matching answer pages, a four-page assessment and a five-level rubric.
