Possum Magic Book Study Unit – Foundation to Year 2

Build reading comprehension and imaginative writing through a coherent Foundation–Year 2 study of Possum Magic. Students identify characters and settings, recognise narrative structure, explain character feelings and change, explore themes, retell and summarise, and create a new narrative.

The teaching presentation introduces each concept in clear steps. Differentiated worksheets provide distinct Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 entry points, while the games, activities and assessment resources support whole-class teaching, rotations, guided groups and independent work.

The Possum Magic picture book is not included and is required to teach the book study.
