Days We Remember develops source-based explanations of family and community events. Children distinguish what people do from why an event matters, investigate a reunion invitation and account, compare two birthday perspectives, explore respectful remembrance and apply their ideas to a class reading celebration.
The ten-lesson sequence has a separate complete PowerPoint for every lesson. The reviewed eight-session route combines Lessons 1–2 and 9–10 with selected slides, guided tasks and assessment collection. All essential understanding and assessment are completed by session 8.
