Year 6 Questioning Unit

Build active, purposeful reading habits with a complete Year 6 English unit focused on questioning. Students learn to ask useful questions before, during and after reading; distinguish literal “thin” questions from analytical “thick” questions; investigate author intent, viewpoint and bias; evaluate narrator and source reliability; and improve questions to support deeper interpretation.
