Punctuation Power is a complete Year 1 English unit for teaching how capital letters and ending punctuation make sentences clear. Across five lessons, students learn to begin sentences with capital letters; select full stops, question marks and exclamation marks; and identify statements, questions, commands and exclamations.

The editable 14-slide presentation introduces each idea through concise explanations, examples and class discussion. Six print-friendly worksheets provide sequenced recognition, classification and sentence-editing practice. Matching answer pages reproduce each worksheet with clearly marked responses.
