Teach children to plan a practical event using duration relationships. The unit begins with a complete 60-minute showcase model, then builds from guided estimation to independent plans that include transition time. Students check the total, revise an overrun and use observed evidence to explain which estimates were uncertain. The teaching sequence distinguishes time of day from elapsed duration.

What's included

  • 27-page PDF unit plan with a three-page teacher guide and print-ready resource pages.
  • Sixty-minute showcase display and 12 worked-example cards.
  • Three guided, core and transfer planner pages, each followed by a matching answer page.
  • Overrun diagnosis partner game with rules, 12 challenge cards and teacher keys.
  • Two rehearsal worksheets, each followed by a matching answer page.
  • Independent assessment, answer guidance and evidence rubric.
  • Editable 18-slide teaching presentation and editable 26-slide quiz.
