Number Sequences – Year 4
Number Sequences – Year 4 teaches number sequences through a balanced week of explicit instruction, visual support, practical games and written reasoning.
Students work with increasing and decreasing sequences involving multiples of 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9. They identify a constant rule, find missing terms, notice links between related multiples and explain how a pattern continues.
The unit includes an editable PowerPoint lesson, two colour classroom displays, three hands-on games and activities, five substantial worksheet resources, a 10-question mixed-format quiz, two-page assessment and five-level rubric. The worksheets provide nine student practice pages, each followed by a matching answer page. The assessment also includes two matching answer pages. Printable practice and assessment pages use a polished low-ink black-and-white design, while displays, games, activities and teaching decks are in colour.
