NAIDOC Week Years 3–4 Activity Pack
This undated pack follows Noor, Mia and Tom as they plan a useful reading display in their school library. Two attributed passages introduce NAIDOC Week, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, distinct continuing cultures and individual contemporary achievements. Learners compare purposes, support inferences with evidence and explain what selected sources can establish.
Word families, precise language and editing support a meaningful display recommendation. Separate planning, drafting, continuation and revision pages give room to use both passages, name sources and explain choices for a reader. Oral, pointing, drawing and adult-scribed responses are practical alternatives, and a private folder version is equally useful.
Maths connects ordinary books, cards and pencils with multistep operations, equal sharing, equivalent fractions, patterns, right angles, symmetry, perimeter, area, elapsed time and data. A supplied one-table count leads to a labelled bar graph and careful comparisons.
Two complete cooperative games supply rules, checks and eight cards each: Evidence relay and Materials match. Three distinct paper organisers carry facts and source names: an evidence accordion, a sliding source check and a triangular reading stand. Illustrated directions and large components are included. Four untitled colouring scenes, an original reading-corner plan, a sourced display card, unique logic and reflection extend the learning.
