This undated pack connects early literacy, practical maths and classroom making with learning about NAIDOC Week. Jo, Sam and Lee read fact cards, check source names and prepare a display in their school library. Brief attributed public-source facts name Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, distinct continuing cultures and individual contemporary achievements.

Children practise comprehension, sequencing, vocabulary, phonemes, word families, sentence editing and writing for readers. Planning, drafting and continuation pages support an accurate display card with a source name. Pointing, speaking, drawing and adult scribing are practical alternatives, and children may keep work in a folder.

Ordinary classroom materials provide useful maths contexts for addition/subtraction, equal sharing, patterns, shapes, equal-unit measurement, clocks and picture data. Two complete playable activities supply the rules, checks and components: a reading board game and a cooperative number-matching game.

Three different paper mechanisms make useful learning organisers: a pop-up display, a three-flap lift book and an interlocking standing sign. Four untitled full-page colouring scenes, reading-space drawing, a display contribution, a uniquely solvable logic puzzle and reflection extend the learning.

What's included

1 colour contents page; 2 monochrome teacher-guide pages; 51 student pages; 5 answer/checking pages. Total: 59 pages in one activity PDF. The student section includes 3 original story pages, 2 sourced fact pages, literacy/writing/maths, 2 complete games, 3 paper constructions and 4 substantial colouring scenes.
