Friendship Unit - Foundation-Year 2
Build a positive classroom community with a practical Friendship Unit created for Foundation-Year 2. Students learn to recognise the everyday choices that help friendships grow: including others, listening carefully, sharing, taking turns, speaking kindly and keeping promises.
Teacher-led scenarios and discussion prompts help students consider how to respond when someone is left out, a classmate makes a mistake, or two friends want the same item. Students also practise meeting a new friend, noticing similarities and differences, repairing harm after a mistake, and setting a personal friendship goal.
The editable presentation and quiz support whole-class teaching, guided discussion and review. Colour display and activity pages add hands-on practice, while black-and-white worksheets, assessment pages and the rubric are easy to print and use across a focused week of learning.
