Foundation Reading, Meaning and Repair Bundle | 3 English Units

Connect accurate decoding with meaning and confident checking through three complementary Foundation reading units. Children blend the complete printed word, track connected text, read everyday messages and use exact grapheme evidence when a reading needs repair. THE THREE INCLUDED UNITS

1. Read, Blend, Make Sense: short cumulative decodable narratives, complete-word blending, one-to-one print tracking, rereading and mismatch repair. Includes a blend-and-track display, worked story/blending pages, Read and Repair practice, Sam's Print-Path partner activity, transfer rehearsal and an unseen short-story assessment.

2. Messages We Can Read: signs, labels and short instructions including SIT, STOP, TAP, BIN and PUT IT IN. Children use Read, Blend, Act and Check to follow a message and explain the print detail that confirmed it. Includes worked-message resources, two short message stories, progressive worksheets, Message Messenger game, rehearsal and independent assessment.

3. Reading Repair Workshop: check each grapheme, blend, reread for meaning and ask for help when a spelling has not been taught. Includes CHECK, REREAD, ASK display, two controlled texts, authentic-message examples, progressive practice, Repair Team Challenge and a fresh-read assessment.

Accurate reading without an error is valid assessment evidence—children are not required to manufacture a mistake.
