Something Easier

This resource begins at Foundation, our earliest year level.

Something Harder

There isn’t a close match for the year above yet.

Help Foundation learners notice possible feelings, explain clues and practise respectful choices using fictional classroom stories. Children learn that the same event can lead to different feelings, that a clue is not certainty, and that asking kindly, offering a choice and seeking adult help can support friendship.

Flexible participation

Read fictional cases aloud. Children may draw, point, speak, gesture, dictate, use a communication board/device or direct a puppet. They may watch a rehearsal or respond privately. Assessment focuses on reasoning and respectful action; speech, eye contact and handwriting are not scores. Sample answers illustrate possible responses and allow other reasoned choices.
