Students turn transparent survey counts into an organised talk. They distinguish facts from opinions, choose relevant findings, use linked sentences, explain a fair labelled visual and state what a source can and cannot show. Partner rehearsal leads to a specific change before an individual 60–90-second report. Both supplied surveys are clearly labelled fictional practice data; the final Rainy-day Clubs survey checks transfer to new counts.

Learning focus

Informative reporting; purpose and audience; selecting and ordering evidence; factual and opinion language; useful complex sentences; visual information; source/sample limits; tone, pace, pitch and volume; specific rehearsal feedback and revision.

Classroom use

Five approximately 55-minute lessons for whole-class modelling, partner work, independent preparation and teacher-observed individual reporting. Extend the delivery observation window when needed. Support/core/extension options, sentence starts, teacher models and access arrangements support participation. Report Studio uses teams of three and requires only its supplied cards/guide and a paper marker or pointing; no dice are required.

Teacher benefits

Ready-to-use original examples with explicit fictional-source labels; accurate counts and chart comparisons; differentiated practice; complete cooperative game materials; a new final-assessment dataset; evidence fields and a usable four-criterion rubric. Actual delivery is the assessment; quiz results alone are not delivery evidence.

Digital product and licence

Digital download; no physical item. PDF resources and editable presentation/quiz PPTX files. Colour displays, guided activities and game pages; low-ink black-and-white worksheets, assessment and rubric, with red teacher answers. For the purchasing educator's classroom use; do not redistribute or resell the files.

Formats, page counts and answers

38-page Unit Plan PDF: one contents page, one quick-start page, ten lesson-guidance pages and 26 resource/answer/assessment pages. Two editable PPTX files: 20-slide presentation and 22-slide quiz. An 80-page watermarked preview combines all three documents; it is not additional teaching content. TOC supplied as a JPEG. Four worksheet keys, two activity models, game check guide, quiz feedback and final-report model/marking guidance are included. Individual rehearsal/reflection and assessment evidence fields remain blank. The Unit Plan is supplied as a PDF, not an editable customer document.
