Excellent Editing - Foundation
Build confident beginning editors with a complete Foundation English unit focused on rereading and improving simple sentences.
The editable teaching presentation introduces five clear checks: capital letters, ending punctuation, finger spaces, spelling and sentence sense. Modelled examples show students how to notice one problem at a time before applying the full routine to a whole sentence. The editable quiz reinforces the same ideas through multiple-choice, true/false and short-answer questions, with each answer shown on the following slide.
Printable resources include a colour classroom display, student reference cards, punctuation puppets, prompt cards, a Sentence Surgery sorting game, seven worksheet practice pages, nine red answer pages, a two-part assessment and a five-level rubric. The unit plan PDF has 26 pages in total: one Sukindi contents page plus 25 classroom resource and assessment pages.
