Communicate and Exhibit - Years 3-4 Visual Arts Unit Plan
Help Years 3-4 students make an original artwork for a chosen audience, test and refine purposeful visual choices, and explain an informal exhibition using evidence from their process.
Communicate and Exhibit guides students from an idea and two manageable trials to making, specific refinement, display decisions and a short reflective conference. Teaching examples invite reasoning rather than imitation. The cooperative Curator's Choice game rehearses noticing, respectful questioning, comparison and explanation. Open folios capture decisions while the actual artwork is made on suitable art paper.

Lesson plans and game teacher notes provide example reasoning and observation criteria. The quiz includes explicit explanations. Practical making and display evidence, rather than quiz scores alone, support assessment.
