Chance and Probability Years 3-6 Maths Unit Bundle
Teach chance and probability through a clear Years 3-6 progression with seven complete Mathematics units. The sequence moves from describing possible outcomes and likelihood to repeated experiments, theoretical and experimental probability, fractions, decimals, percentages, expected frequency, relative frequency, sample size, independence and fair-game reasoning.
Each included unit provides its own editable teaching presentation and quiz, printable unit plan, classroom resources, worksheets, practical investigations, games, assessment, answer support and five-level rubric. Teachers can use the year-level unit that matches their class, move down for scaffolded support, or move up for extension while keeping the same mathematical topic and language.

Learning progression
- Identify possible outcomes and describe likelihood accurately.
- Order events from impossible to certain.
- Compare equally likely and unequally likely outcomes.
- Conduct fair, repeated chance experiments and record frequencies.
- Recognise independent and dependent events.
- Express probability as fractions, decimals and percentages.
- Build sample spaces and analyse one-die, two-dice, spinner, card and coin contexts.
- Compare theoretical probability with experimental results and relative frequency.
- Explain variation, sample-size effects, expected frequency, fairness and bias using evidence.
Classroom use
Use the units as a four-year teaching progression, for composite classes, intervention, extension or differentiated small groups. Each unit supports approximately one teaching week, with optional games, investigations, quiz review and assessment sessions. The full bundle provides approximately seven teaching weeks when all distinct units are used.
