Years 4–5 Repeated Chance Experiments Variety Pack | 2 Maths Units
Explore repeated chance experiments through two complete Mathematics units for Years 4 and 5. Both resources help students predict, conduct fair trials, record frequencies and use evidence to explain why results can vary. The Year 4 unit builds a foundation in possible outcomes, likelihood language, repeated trials and independent or dependent events. The Year 5 unit develops comparison of observed results with expected likelihoods, relative frequency, sample variation and fair or biased chance structures.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
- Year 4 Repeated Chance Experiments: 30-page PDF unit plan, 13-slide editable teaching presentation and 22-slide editable quiz
- Year 5 Conducting Repeated Chance Experiments: 34-page PDF unit plan, 19-slide editable teaching presentation and 22-slide editable quiz
- Colour displays and reference materials, spinner and dice investigations, coin, card and marble tasks, four games and five Year 5 chance stations
- Five multi-page worksheet sequences in each unit, with matching fixed-response answer support
- A Carnival Chance assessment and five-level rubric in each unit
- One 140-page combined preview containing both complete individual previews
Use the Year 4 unit to build and discuss evidence from repeated trials, then extend learning with the Year 5 station contexts and relative-frequency work. Each included unit is a complete, separate teaching sequence. Open experiment-recording pages allow student-generated results; fixed-response and quiz answers are supplied.
