Help children connect who or what is named with what a sentence tells. Begin with whole spoken messages and familiar pictures, then build, reread and explain linked word groups.

The five lessons cover naming groups, doing and being information, missing-part repair, cooperative construction and transfer to a new scene. A being message such as “The bag is red.” is treated as a complete idea. Children compare fitting messages and explain what each partner group contributes.

The teacher guide provides explicit modelling, guided and independent practice, support and extension, practical keys and formative recording. Teachers read directions and word cards aloud. Children can respond with speech, pointing, AAC, arranged cards or adult scribing. Assessment focuses on meaning and word relationships.
