Reading Explanations and Instructions - Year 6

Build evidence-based reading analysis with complete original explanations and instructions. Students compare the fictional Puzzle Station's explanatory text and borrowing steps, explore print and offline Workshop Queue explanations, and independently analyse a new sports-bib pair.

Each learning sequence asks students to connect where a feature appears, the exact words used and what those choices help a reader understand or do. Explicit models address common misconceptions: numbers do not automatically make instructions, then does not establish cause, an empty record pocket does not alone establish availability, and a digital or shorter text is not automatically clearer.
