Procedural Texts Year 2 gives teachers a coherent sequence for moving students from noticing how procedures work to creating clear instructions for a familiar audience. The editable teaching presentation models purpose, audience, structure and language choices. Students then apply the learning through displays, sequencing activities, a board game, supported feature analysis, comparison tasks, planning and imaginative writing.

The unit builds towards the Mini Nature Collage assessment, where students plan and write a procedure that a younger buddy can follow.
