Predicting Comprehension - Year 1

Build confident early readers with a structured Year 1 unit on making, explaining, checking and updating predictions. The lesson sequence teaches children to notice clues in titles, covers, pictures, words and events, connect those clues with prior knowledge, and explain a sensible prediction with because. Learners then compare their prediction with what happened and keep, change or extend their thinking when a new clue appears.
