Number Sequences – Year 2 helps students recognise that an additive pattern changes by the same constant amount each time. Students identify starting numbers and steps, compare neighbouring terms, continue increasing and decreasing sequences, find missing elements, connect number patterns with shapes and objects, and create and explain their own sequences.

The resource begins with two colourful classroom references and a 16-slide editable presentation. Pattern Path Race and Sequence Sort and Solve provide reusable partner or small-group practice. Six focused worksheets then move from supported sequence completion into skip-counting, backward patterns, missing terms, growing shapes and original sequence creation.
