Learning focus
Receive a short useful message and respond; name an object and place; give a clear step; ask for missing information or a repeat; use a comfortable audible voice; contribute an idea and check a shared plan.
Classroom use
Children practise speaking and listening through adult modelling, shared views, pointing, gestures, AAC/talker output, additional wait time and adult help. Teacher guidance includes exact spoken messages, role swaps, support and challenge, observations, closure and optional extensions. Flexible lessons are planned for approximately 35–45 minutes. Worksheets are adult-read supports for oral practice; independent reading and writing are not required.
Answers
Worksheets 1–2 include fixed response/placement keys. Worksheet 3 includes question-choice answers and a possible rehearsal exchange. Worksheets 4–5 include clearly identified possible planning/reflection examples; other relevant responses are valid. Quiz feedback follows each question.
Teacher benefits
Exact teacher messages and worked exchanges support modelling. Matching target/blank mats give both children an active role. Red answer/model pages sit directly after each worksheet. A fresh task and observation sheet help record communication in context.
