Just Tricking Years 3–6 English Unit
Give Years 3–6 students a structured pathway into humorous narrative writing. The unit explores surprise, exaggeration, wordplay, character motives and point of view before guiding students to plan, draft, polish and share a safe, fictional prank-inspired story.
Editable teaching and quiz slides support explicit instruction and formative checking. A colour classroom display, task cards, game and partner activity build engagement, while eight black-and-white worksheet-style pages support close reading, language choices and writing development. Three red-answer pages are included where fixed or suggested answers are meaningful. The sequence concludes with the Ultimate Prank Project, a planning page and a marking rubric.
