Foundation Oral Presentations Unit

Help Foundation students plan, practise and share a short oral presentation with clear, supportive steps. This one-week English unit moves from familiar-topic selection and idea generation to beginning-middle-ending organisation, picture prompts, clear voice, body position, eye contact and respectful audience behaviour.

The colour Confident Presenter and Brilliant Audience posters establish visible expectations. Pocket cards keep key reminders close at hand. A 24-card Talk Time set, a 24-card illustrated Picture Prompt set and the Smooth Speaker Trail board game provide varied individual, partner, small-group and rotation practice.

Seven print-friendly worksheets give young learners generous drawing and early-writing space. Two choice worksheets include exact matching red answer pages. Students finish by planning and sharing a mini talk, reflecting on how they felt and receiving feedback through a five-level rubric. The 18-slide presentation and 10-question quiz retain native editable PowerPoint text for classroom adaptation.
