Copy, Continue and Repair Patterns - Foundation

Build an understanding of repeating order through shapes, everyday objects and simple actions. Students first notice the repeated part, then copy every position and continue from the actual stopping point. Known-target repairs help them compare a whole row and replace one wrong item without adding or removing positions.

Core learning uses two-item patterns. Supported pages offer clear models and large response spaces. Optional three-item patterns, repeated items, partial stops and explanations extend learning. Students may point, arrange or draw; the guidance separates access help from content cues and avoids grading speech, hearing, drawing skill or colour naming.
