Cohesion in Texts Year 5 Unit
Cohesion in Texts helps Year 5 students understand how writers connect ideas and guide readers through a text. Students investigate sentence beginnings, connectives, pronouns, determiners, adverbials and repeated key ideas, then apply these choices to strengthen flow and clarity.
The unit supports explicit whole-class teaching, guided practice, independent work, revision and assessment.
