Building to 10 Year 1 Maths Unit

Building to 10 develops the Year 1 number knowledge students need to recognise, represent, recall and apply the pairs that combine to make 10.

The teaching sequence begins with visual rainbow, ten-frame and part-part-whole representations before moving into missing addends, turnaround facts, simple addition stories and reasoning. A 14-slide editable presentation supports explicit teaching, while a 22-slide editable quiz provides 10 questions with answer and feedback slides.
