Apostrophes of Possession Year 5

Give Year 5 students a reliable process for placing possessive apostrophes: identify the owner, decide whether it is singular or plural, and check that the apostrophe position matches the intended meaning. The sequence explicitly teaches singular owners, regular plural owners ending in s, irregular plurals, proper names, joint ownership, separate ownership and the its/it's distinction.
