Active and Passive Voice helps Year 5 students understand how sentence voice changes focus. Students identify subjects, verb groups, objects and receivers; recognise helper verbs and by-phrases; and examine how active and passive constructions organise information differently.
The unit supports explicit whole-class teaching, guided practice, independent work, revision and assessment.
