This Year 3 data unit starts with a supplied fictional equipment loan log. Learners read the two data columns, audit missing or copied rows, enter the eight transactions in a real classroom spreadsheet and make a labelled transaction frequency summary. They compare that summary with item quantities and report a conclusion supported by the recorded data.
The five-lesson sequence includes a model display, twelve worked and practice cards across four pages, guided to independent audit practice, three spreadsheet activity guides, a fresh game-kit transfer case, a final assessment and a criterion-based rubric. The conclusion stays within the fictional log and does not claim why a loan occurred.
