The Unit Plan begins with a table of contents and a two-page teacher preparation guide, then moves through a colour display, twelve model cards, guided and independent practice, a hands-on collection kit, two comparison rehearsals, an assessment and a criterion-based rubric. Matching red answer or marking pages sit directly after the six student practice, rehearsal and assessment pages.
The given question asks where a fictional class would prefer a read-aloud. Its worked display has six mat, four outdoor shade and two desk choices. Learners use one picture for one child, check for missing or duplicate records, align the categories, and explain which has more, fewer or the same. A real class collection should show its actual responses.

Teacher benefits
The included models connect one child's final choice to one picture token. Practice covers duplicate and missing records before learners make evidence-based comparisons in a fresh assessment case.
Learning focus and classroom use
Foundation Mathematics, Statistics. Use across five 30–40-minute lessons, with read-aloud instructions, loose picture tokens and oral or pointing responses where these reduce incidental writing demand. The final evidence is one accurately placed new choice and two comparisons supported by the picture display.
